Zakat is 2.5% of the gold, so 1 tola in every 40. Gold on its own reaches the nisab at 7.5 tola. If you also have any cash, savings or silver, the Hanafi view adds it all together and uses the silver nisab (52.5 tola of silver), so zakat can be due on smaller amounts of gold too.
